When life throws you a few curve balls hopefully you're talented enough to hit them out of the park.  This week I got a few curve balls!  The R&R did NOT help my sickness.  It got worse and worse and then about Monday it completely attacked my lungs, put me in bed, halted my marathon training & made it almost impossible to focus and study.  WELCOME CURVE BALLS!

So, what did I do?  I played ball!  I locked myself in my room with my friend Sickness, rested, studied, rested, studied, rested and studied.  I did not run bc I couldn't breathe and my body just needed to sleep.  I started to make some progress and on Wednesday night I was thrown another CURVE BALL!  Really?  Life obviously didn't think I had enough to do.  BRING IT!

This curve ball was a bit better though.  My mom called me and asked me what I was doing on Friday since her and my dad were booking a flight to see us.  Now, the only really problem with that curve ball was that I was still sick, hadn't been out of my room in a week, my house was a DISASTER and I had to sit for a 4 hour exam the day I needed to pick them up.  But, it all got done and the kids were SO EXCITED to see Grammy and Grampy on Saturday morning when they woke up.

When the kids woke up on Saturday morning they had no idea that Grammy and Grampy were here still.  I asked them if they wanted to Skype them and then sat at the kitchen table and we dialed them but it kept disconnecting us.  My parents snuck up behind them on one of the calls and said, 'Well, hello!' Chantz was so freaked out he couldn't say anything.  Just went to the couch and sat down and stared at them!  It was awesome.  Chantzelor tried to figure out all day how they could come through the computer like that!

Not a ton of photos from the week because I was so sick but we did get some from Saturday. We took Grammy and Grampy to a few spots. They'd never been to CA before so this was a super fun day. Off to Santa Monica Pier!  But, not before we took Grampy to InNOut!
