I can't believe that my baby girl is going to be 9 this year. It's so very sad to me to even think that she may only be in my life for a few more short years. Don't give me that, 'Oh, that's so mean; don't say that', I know it's coming and I soak up my puppy dog every single day. She's my bestest friend and it's hard to think of my world without her. So for today I won't but it's always in my mind somewhere!
Chantz's first ever football game was today. He did a good job for just starting. All the other players were basically playing the whole month of August. But, he finally got his mandatory practice time in and was able to suit up and play. The team that they played was definitely much faster and way more physical. It's amazing when you travel a mile down the road what town you end up in. Let's just say Chantz wanted to know where all the 'white' kids were. Sorry Chantz, you better learn to run and jump, these kids were awesome!
(As my husband so not politically correct would say...When you have to teach your kids to run from the POlice at a young age it makes for a great football team!) SO NOT MY WORDS!
This week I finally got up to 9.5 miles in my training and have a little over a month to go. I did come home after a late night run this week and instantly felt AWFUL! I've been in bed most of the week, basically got out to venture to Chantz's first game. It seems to be getting worse and I'm hoping some R&R with a little silver will help me kick it!
Along with getting this awful cold I'm been studying off and on for my ACE (American Council on Exercise) Exam. I ordered these materials over a year ago and have decided to really get started out here in CA with my personal training business. I definitely miss working and can't wait to start helping people again. My test is next week and I've been neglecting my family a bit and engulfing myself into my books. Some of the info I haven't touched on in about 10 years. It's crazy how much info is still tucked away in my brain! Love finding all of it in there!
Happy 41st Birthday to my big sister Amy! Love ya!
