HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!

Happy Father's Day to my wonderful dad.  I have many, many memories of the time I spent as a kid with my father.  From drinking his black coffee that he carried around in his green aluminum thermos to helping him plant and pick vegetables from the garden.  One of my favorite memories with my dad is taking off his work boots for him when he came home from a long day of work only to find mysterious coins in them.  I looked forward to this part of the day.  It was magical to me how those coins ended up in his boots.  Even as an adult I still wanted to believe that he had a hole in his pocket where his change fell through and falling at a perfect angle landed in his boots.  (I was completely satisfied with this story until my sister Amy ruined it for me just last summer and said 'Heather, seriously...dad put that money in there before he came in the house for you and Lucas.')  These little memories that cost no money (except for the coins), required no traveling or extreme planning are the little things that will be with me forever.  I feel so lucky to have had such a great childhood and such a fantastic dad!  xoxo

To my husband who embraces fatherhood to the extreme.  Happy Father's Day to you.  You are the best father that any child could ask for.

'To our daddy who comforts us when we are sad, encourages us to think we can, teaches us to try our hardest, shows us right from wrong and loves us everyday no matter what.  WE LOVE YOU.'

I had a shutterfly book made up for Scott from the boys for Father's Day this year.  It's made up of a ton of photos of just them.  We also went to a little restaurant that came highly recommended to us in Pasadena.  It was REALLY good!  I hope you had a GREAT day Scott it was fun just to take the day and recognize you and the special role you play in our lives. xoxo
