It's the final countdown...for FRIENDS! We have spend ALL day running around preparing (still) for friends to come for the next 2 weeks. We've been preparing for quite a while around here. Just things here and there but mostly setting up our house so everyone could fit. We're not kidding ourselves that it'll be a tight fit. 16 people in 1200 sq. feet doesn't sound like a whole lot of fun and it probably wouldn't be with anyone else but this particular group of friends. Chantz had a birthday party today and Sutton was invited over to the neighbors to play so Scott and I were able to run around the city without the constant whining and complaining that stems from errands. Of course that complaining is completely justified. I hated just to stop at the grocery store with my mom...so, I get it! I was even complaining at the end!
So, no pictures of our craziness today but there's lots of pictures from last night when we went downtown for the street fair. LOVE IT! Love the excitement the kids get from choosing vegetables, dropping what coins we have into the guitar cases of the entertainment and getting to choose a treat. Seeing genuine joy in your children's eyes is just something that can never get old.
