So, my inner urge has been contained and Chantz's hair is getting longer by the second. My only rule is that if he doesn't comb it and take care of it then there is no warning...it's being cut. So, EVERY morning Chantz has gotten up, wet down (more than needs be) his hair and tried to flatten it down to the best of his ability. Apparently he also believes that since he can't see the back he didn't have to maintain the back. That was addressed and is now being managed too. Stay tuned...the hair is still growing as of today. He isn't winning the battle with me he's just growing up and I'm respecting his opinions and letting go in the most minute way I possibly can.
When you're 7 you believe what you see. Chantz was so excited to get this in the mail. He thinks it's a predecessor of what's comin'. Well buddy, I hope that this is truly how it happens for ya, just don't forget 'who ya momma is'!
Let's just do a quick week run down. Monday there was a kiddo play date up a couple streets that I took the kids to. I was cursing my friend Katie when she walked in with these delectable delights. Seriously, one of the best things my taste buds have ever tasted. I'm glad I don't know about all these little bakery chains out here. Check out this goodness...
You're welcome. I say that because you'll be 'thanking me lots' for putting that image in your head. You might as well just order a dozen or so now since that's the only way it will be put to rest! Play-do was the entertaining friend while mommy tried to get some work done. I had to have frequent stops to eat Sutton's imaginative cuisine.
DISNEY! Our yearly passes expire on 2/1/11 and we're not renewing them right now so we'll be getting a few last trips in! We'll be back when Sutton is 45" so we can all go on the rides! Plus, we've yet to go to Universal Studios and LegoLand. We've refused to go to either while we had passes to Disney!
Not done yet! Friday night was our night for all the boys at our house. Tracy and Joe took the kids on Wednesday night so we could catch up with friends. We ended up going to Ruth's Chris Steakhouse downtown Pasadena for happy hour where apps were $3.50 and drinks were $5.
So, we had a movie night and I made faux movie popcorn bags from paper bags for each of them. Something so simple was such a big hit. Cute.
The boys decided they were hot and didn't want their shirts on anymore. Ok, I was freezing!
We went to go on a new hike on Saturday morning but when we got there the trail was closed. I'm sure it was due to all the rain that we've had so there were probably wash-outs. We were going to go somewhere else but decided to take a drive up some canyon rodes to see if we could find some little friends. We sure did find some...there were about 6 just hanging out!
NOTE: I apologize for the delay in getting a post up. One thing I didn't realize about Blogger is that you run out of room. SURPRISE!!!! They charge you if you fill up your picaso photo account which, btw, I didn't even realize I had until I ran out of room. I thought I was uploading the photos straight from my computer. So, I've been working on my book to be sure I have those photos safe before deleting some!
