525,600 minutes. 525,000 moments so dear.  525, 600 minutes-how do you measure, measure a year?

Ever time this year the musical Rent comes into my head, it's the only musical that I've actually ever been to see and at some point in my existence will absolutely go again because I loved it so much.  But, 525,600 minutes that's a WHOLE LOTTA minutes to do what you gotta do and get it done.  

Life is funny as in one day it's the holidays and the next it's just that, the next.  As I sit here surrounded by the scattered ornaments that I just took off my tree of love my mind is whirling of what this next year is going to bring.  Maybe it will bring a year of health and prosperity and that's what I believe all of us truly hope for and for that hope I'm not even going to put a 'but' on that sentence.  I'm just going to focus on that year of health and prosperity and see where I get. 

I spend January 1st packing away the tree and santas and the only thing that remains surrounding me is my snowmen.  My house looks bare once again and I have an overwhelming urge to decorate which, being in a rental house, unfortunately I can't.  My husband seems to enjoy it though since it's easier on his pockets when I'm not allowed to fulfill these urges! I love a fresh coat of paint and a some new photos from the previous year.  Well, I can do the new photos so that's where I'll put the 'decorating' energy.  Maybe I'll buy some new candles to add to the freshness.  I'll have to see what my brain can come up with.

The next week is going to be spent daydreaming.  Daydreaming of our biggest and wildest dreams and how to fulfill them.  Saturday night will end with a date night with my husband in the living room with some appetizers, a fire, poster board and some markers.  Here is where we'll sketch out our dreams for 2011 and do our absolute best to make them happen.

Don't worry, I'm not going anywhere!  It's still my goal to be here, blogging away for all to read.  But 2011 will not bring a daily blog but at least a weekly one.  Maybe more but no less!

    I like the idea of putting pen to paper (or in your case, marker to posterboard) to plan and dream. It reminds me of Oprah's vision board.

    Hannah, a vision board is pretty much what we do. If I wrote that I'm not sure who would know what I was talking about. We love digging for things and dreaming! So fun!
