DADDY'S HERE!
Yesterday I drove to NH to get Scott from the airport. He stayed behind for a week in CA for work but now he has joined us on the East Coast. We drove up the coast on the way back to my sister's house. Oh, how we love the Maine Coast in the summertime! IT'S STUNNING!
Today, while the temperatures soared, we decided to venture to the playground. WHAT we were thinking is completely beyond me. It was H.O.T. and HUMID but that didn't dampen our spirits. We ALL had fun...SEE!
Oh wait, our day is FAR from over. After the playground we decided to venture into the streets of Portland Maine to a Popcorn Co. that was founded by one of Scott's classmates! I loved it as much as the kids. It was sooooo cute! Every kind of yummy popcorn imaginable, truly a kids dream!
After we were stuffed full of popcorn and soaking from the humidity we ventured back to our home base, (my sister's house) and took a quick dip in the pool. But, as you can see it didn't last long. The storm rolled in from the ocean quite quickly!
Then, for a few hours we were stuck in the basement, glued to the TV, as tornadoes were touching down throughout the state of Maine. Say WHAT? Yup, haven't ever seen a tornado in Maine before. The state just wanted to give us all she had while we were there!
Now, THAT was a jam-packed day!
