Can you guess what we did today?
That's right, we went to DISNEYLAND! We didn't really plan on going to Disney today but woke up and decided we wanted to take the kids somewhere fun for the day. Since Disney is only about 25 miles from us that's where we went! The kids LOVED every second. They were on their BEST behavior! Since we now live in S. Cal we were able to get season passes so now we can go back anytime we want. We only went for about 4-5 hrs today and did about 1/4 of the parks so we'll be going back again soon.
PLEASE NOTE: You will NOT see Sutton in any photographs with the Disney Characters. That kid will be the first in line for a rollercoaster but will have NOTHING to do with someone in a costume! He had a death grip on my leg when I tried to get him to have a photo with Pluto!
Chantz thought it was hysterical that Sutton was screaming his head off on this little balloon ride. (Mind you this was after he almost passed out with me on the Tower of Terror. That's a whole other story!)
For some reason I can't turn the photo...sorry.
Waiting in line for the Bug's Life bumper cars.
Sutton had to be the driver...of course.
Chantz and all his character friends.
BROTHERS!
Sutton and Mommy waiting for the cars. Sutton had to drive this one too until he gave us both whiplash and I had to take over. LOL
So, Chantzelor decides he wants to go on the Hollywood Tower of Terror. I triple check with him bc it's a pretty scary ride but nope...he wants to go. So, we go in the first room where it thunders and lightenings and they play a little clip. He's already freaked out but we're good to go. We climb to the top and are waiting on our spots when he kinda doesn't want to go anymore but at this point it's a little late. We get in the elevator and take our seats and I'm continuously telling him that it's all pretend and we have to go up and then we're going to go down really fast and it's going to be really dark! I had a death grip on his hands bc I knew it was going to be a little intense. Thank god the ride lasts about 15-20 seconds bc I believe he completely stopped breathing and one point when we were at the top (you can see in the photo the double door that looks like it's opening right below the sign) and they opened the door for us to see out before they drop us to the ground I looked at him and he was terrified! When the ride was over he stood up and looked at me and said 'Mommy, I kinda feel really dizzy. I don't think I can walk.' I carried him down the stairs and out the door. I really thought he was going to faint on me! BTW...I felt horrible for letting him go but very proud of him for going through with it. I kept telling him when we were walking up the stairs that I couldn't believe he was big enough to go on the Tower of Terror with me. I did tell him if he went again he would know what was going to happen so it wouldn't be so scary. Because, seriously, how do you explain to a 6 year old that we're just going to basically fall to the ground from the top of the building! Needless to say Chantz held one of our hands on every single ride for the rest of the day...I think I ruined him!
It didn't take long!
Good-Night Disneyland...and Sutton!
JEALOUS!!!! Second Picture= priceless!
