There was a moment in time this week that I felt like my little 3 year old evolved into Bob from the Biggest Loser. The moment of truth is told like this. When you ask 'Who's Hungry' and then reply in unison with your children, 'I AM!!!!', and your 3 year old immediately looks straight at you and says 'YOU DON'T NEED THE CALORIES!' WHAT???????
How do you come back to that? AND...WHERE did he get that from????? Seriously, does this child even know what a Calorie is not alone smart enough to use it in the correct context with no prompting. But, back to the how do you even come back at that? The answer is you don't. You laugh until you cry or until your stomach hurts so bad that you possibly can't laugh for another moment. The funny thing is, he's probably right. It is that time of year ya know when the extra calories add up quickly to the extra pounds! It is the holidays and I love sugar and I have definitely have had enough of that lately! When the laughing finally ceased, we found out where the heck he came up with that. Know what movie? Give me your best guess and remember he is 3 so it's not going be the Hangover or anything!
This kid is F.U.N.N.Y! Not reserved or shy and doesn't need to be the center of attention but will if the spot presents itself to him. He comes up with stuff that has us rolling. And he drops movie lines left and right some perfectly placed, as shown above, and others just spit out of the blue. Future movie star? Well, he also wants to be a veterinarian, wants to beat Chantz at anything and everything, wants to play for the Crabs and in his spare time wants to be a fireman. Time will tell but we are totally not the crazed show biz parents that are out here. We'll take it as it comes. Do it all baby, all that you want...we're here to help you accomplish YOUR dreams! Well, in our spare time we are and if we don't have any to spare at the moment we'll find some!
Note...The Crabs are actually the NFL Team the Atlanta Falcons. Last year for Christmas Santa brought Chantz a set of miniature football helmets and let me tell you what, those crazy little helmets have seen the most play of any toy in our house. What do you do with them you ask. Well you play football helmets of course!!! ????? So, to Sutton the design on the falcons helmet looks like a crab claw. So...Sutton is gonna play for The Cwabs, not The Pats, The Cwabs, so go Cwabs!
Decide for yourself. Cwab or Falcon! HA
This week was a crafty kinda week. From gingerbread houses to sugar cookies it was exactly what I wanted to be doing with my kiddos! Loved every second of it!
We started on Sunday with Gingerbread Houses at home. These were SO CUTE and super fun and easy for the kids!
Next we were off to a Mommy's play date at my friend Katie's house where she had candy heaven set up for the building of some faux gingerbread houses aka graham cracker houses. Not sure if more went into my children's stomachs or on their houses. When you see how much is on their houses you may note my concern! We all had so much fun!
Then it was next door for some cookie making and Christmas Song singing!
Melt my heart! How cute are these two with the mini rollers?
It's better when it's straight from the spreader!
Remember that RAIN INGREDIENT? Well, here it is in full force! Tracy normally does not have a pond in her yard or a river streaming down her steps. If I said CRAZY once it's not enough so CRAZY, CRAZY is much better.
Before we headed home we gave Matthew and Anthony our gift to them. My kids got the same gift and they hadn't seen it yet so it was equally exciting for them. I made a little shutterfly book for them all filled to the brim with photos of their year together. Written on the first page was 'Friends are the Best Presents.' So true for them. Moving to CA was tough but to have two instant best friends 15 feet away made things a lot easier! We love you guys!
