Up BRIGHT and EARLY for a flight to Portland, Maine! (All my photos of Sutton looked like this.  Apparently he wasn't awake at 4:30AM!)

Going through the airport solo was a TREAT!  Picture this...I end up with a car seat, a roll-on carry on, Sutton's backpack, Chantz's backpack and then Sutton screaming he wants me to carry him about 20 steps through the door.  So, I strapped the car seat to the handles of my carry-on, strapped Sutton into the car seat, put Chantz's backpack on and made Sutton hold onto his backpack.  PHEW...I definitely got some interesting looks wheeling Sutton around in his car seat on the top of my rolling carry-on but I know people were thinking, 'Why the hell didn't I think of that?!'

BUT, we made it to our gate and then aboard the plane. (After Sutton decided right before he no longer wanted to go on an airplane ride!)

THE TREK TO GATE 2 OF THE DAY...NOT SO FUN!
After landing in JFK we had time to wolf in some god-awful processed crap that made me want to instantly take a nap.  During this time Sutton decided that...
1.)He now wanted to be an independent traveler
2.)That he wanted to whip someone in the head by undoing the strap that held two poles together.  You know, the ones that automatically reel in when you let go.  YEAH...
3.)He now decided he was GRUMPY and thought he should scream that over and over so the entire airport heard him.
During this time I decided that...
1.)I am in no way responsible for him on the way home.
2.)I despise my husband for getting to work this week.
3.)A nice family along our gate trek looked like they so desperately wanted a 2 year old.

FINALLY we made it to our gate and then...THERE WAS NO PLANE!

FINALLY!!!!!!  EVERYONE IN MY PARTY WAS HAPPY & I'M SURE EVERYONE SURROUNDING MY PARTY WAS HAPPY TOO!
FINALLY aboard the last plane home to Maine!  This was after I was in line for a preboard (extra assistance and extra needed time.  Hello, tons of bags, car seat and two kids...this COUPLE decided that they were more important with their INFANT who they carried tried to cut me in line.  Love babies, but um...no sure EXTRA time was needed for them to sit in their seats holding their child.  Step back, step back, I've been traveling way too long and now I'm GRUMPY!

WE MADE IT!  We were greeted by the welcoming committee, Auntie Amy and Drew! Now, I have a bunch of happy campers!
