Last night I went to Disneyland sans kids (well, my kids)!  I met 3 other moms there for a night of dinner with adult conversation, fast rides and no whining!  It was fantastic except the fact that there was an earthquake so the entire park basically shut down for hours! COME ON!!!!!!!!!!!  So, we basically sprinted around the park in dire need of finding a ride that would satisfy our overwhelming urge for fast and furious.  We wanted the feeling of whiplash and being on the verge of almost losing our dinner but since a natural disaster decided to strike on our 1 time we could get to the park by ourselves it wasn't a feeling that we found.  At about 1130pm we rode our 1st and final ride.  Seriously Disney...we will have a redo!

I took this photo coming out of Trader Joe's one evening.  It's so easy to get caught up in the every day tasks and not notice the beauty that surrounds you each and every day.  I often just stop, look and breathe.  I didn't care that I pulled out my phone and took a picture in the middle of the parking lot with a cart full of groceries.  Didn't care that the woman in that silver car was looking at me like I was completely insane.  Because you know why, she was sitting with her back to this beautiful backdrop so I gave her that same look of insanity right back.  She was so caught up in her 'every day lists' that she didn't even notice a backdrop that was so breathtaking.  So breathtaking that I do what I often do...stop, look and breathe.  I'm so thankful I did.
