7 years ago today my life was completely changed as a 8lb 13oz little boy was placed in my arms.  I remember exactly that overwhelming sense of anxiety and joy that washed over me at that time.  Life was changed in an instance.  NOTHING could have prepared me for the way I would feel the day I became responsible for a human being.  One so small that relied on me solely for food and protection.  One that would be calm at the sound of my voice and my smell.  That feeling of motherhood changed my life forever.  I barely remember my days of just me and I am forever grateful my life was changed on this date, 7 short years ago, when a baby boy I named Chantzelor Jarvis was placed into my arms.

Happy, Happy Birthday Chantz.  You've made the last 7 years the best years of my life.  I love you!
