Today Scott and I headed over to Brentwood to try out a recommended chiropractor.  Anyone who knows us knows we believe in complete health and an area that many people neglect is the nervous system and spine.  We don't use chiropractic care as a quick fix it and never have.  For us it's for ongoing maintenance just like everything else we do.
I was severely a mess and Scott was a little less severely a mess.  He adjusted us a little different than normal with first doing cranial-sacral releases.  During this he uses pressure points to realign our skull bones and in turn it ends up realigning your cervical (neck) vertebrae.  I was amazed at how this type of release eliminated all pain in my neck.  We both were feeling great when we left and then two hours went by and we were complete zombies.  Knowing this was going to happen we were prepared but even being prepared wasn't enough.  Basically what happens is your body shuts down so it can heal.  We're fairly used to it and can for the most part still function but this was on a completely different level.  Tomorrow may be worse and then by Thursday I'm hoping we feeling back to ourselves again.  The kids have yet to be adjusted here.  We have to build a level of trust with this practice and make sure that we believe in their practices before we let the kids have their appointment.
