Sutton and I spend a lot of today playing train, doing ABC's, shapes, watering plants and anything else a 2 year old may like to do.
Chantzelor had baseball practice tonight, which he didn't feel like going to but our rule is if you don't practice you don't play in the games.  That seemed to change his mind.  I think he's really overtired.  He plays hard all weekend long and gets up so early every morning.  Someone has to teach that kid to sleep in!

He was so proud of stacking his shapes.
Then we moved onto a train that Uncle Leonard and Aunt Lee had gotten him for Xmas 2 years ago.  This was the first time I had taken it out of the box so it was an exciting thing for him.
We spelled his name minus a T.  There was only 1 of each letter.  LOL
Then we did our ABC's for a very long time.  He's doing a good job learning them, maybe a few more months of practice.  He can count to 10 and get to about G.

I touched base today with a family that I used to babysit for when I was back in college.  It has been about 10 years since I'd spoken to them but something today made me instantly think of them so I looked them up on facebook and there they were.  This was my trigger that started the search.  Sutton came in from outside and said, "Mommy, I need a jacket it's chiwwy out there."  It vividly reminded me of their little boy Patrick telling me he needed a jacket bc it was chiwwy out there.  It's funny how things that occur in your everyday life instantly remind you of the littlest thing that may have occurred in your past.  The brain is an amazing thing!

  1. I had forgotten about sending this gift. Glad it is getting some use. And that he seems to enjoy playing with it. I will keep my eye open for an extra "T"...haha.
