Chantzelor came home from school today with an award for perfect attendance for the month of February. Woohoo Chantz! Although, I did tell him that the award should actually go to the parents for getting the kids fed breakfast, dressed and brought to school at the correct time. I, personally, thought that was a fabulous idea...Chantz, not so much.
Chantz and I went out to get some supplies for our little garden after school and as we were pulling into the driveway we see Scott, holding a sleeping Sutton and pushing his little blue car. Apparently he'd been walking that was for about a mile bc Sutton had fallen asleep on the way to the playground in his car and his head kept bouncing onto the steering wheel. So, Scott being such a great dad took him out and carried him all the way home.
Tonight, we did a beach towel picnic in the living room for fun. LOL We let the kids pick a movie while we ate dinner. So, we watched Monsters Inc (Sutton's FAVORITE) and ate nachos!
We put him on the couch when we got inside where he continued to be passed out for another hour! Guess he was tired. He was VERY mad when he woke up that he wasn't at the playground!
A huge beach towel makes a great picnic blanket in the living room. This was so fun!
Everybody in their blankies for movie time! Even mommy!
What a wonderful idea! Is Sutton not a fan of nachos? They sure look good.
ReplyDeleteHe is, but he occassionally chokes on the chips still so I always make a pasta back-up. LOL Nachos, during football season, are a Sunday ritual here so a Friday night picnic during the off-season was such a treat! YUMMY!
