Today was Opening Ceremonies for the Santa Anita Little League.  It was suppose to be yesterday but it got postponed until today bc of the rain.  It turned out to be an absolute beautiful day around 80 degrees.  Chantzelor had to get all dressed up in his uniform for the first time.  He looks like a mini pro baseball player.  Too cute!
He had to make sure I took a picture of his #9.

Scott plays softball with Luke's dad, Steve, on Tuesday nights.
I'm going to butcher this player's name so I put it in later to save myself some embarrassement.  He went through the Santa Anita program and now plays AAA baseball for the Angels organization.  Everyone always told him he was too short for the majors (he's only about 5'10') even with a 96mph fast ball but with pure hardwork and dedication he only has one more step to go.  He came back for the opening ceremonies where he took pictures with the kids and signed autographs.  Chantz thought it was pretty cool.
This is only a few of the teams but you can see Chantzelor's team in the middle.  All the teams circled around the infield and they took turns running as a team around the field for all the fans to see.  There were quite a few people here.  I'd have to say I was impressed by how involved everyone was with program.
Here are the older kids running around.  Chantz is the only one from his team up for giving the high 5!
